Abstract
Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia(WM) is a secretory B cell malignacy with heavy
accumulation of monoclonal IgM in the plasma and abscence of bone lesions. In fact, the
infrequent occurrence of osteolytic lesions was used as a criterion for differentiating
WM from multiple myeloma. Since 1953, several authors have reported cases of WM
with destructive osseous lesions. So bone lesions are not helpful for differential
diagnosis between WM and multiple myeloma.
We report first case of WM with osteolytic lesions in Korea with review of
literatures.
